BarChar makes it easy to look up symbols and foreign characters. Simply click on the BarChar icon in the Start Bar, and all the characters in a particular font will be displayed. You can enlarge them, find out their ASCII codes, or copy them to the clipboard. If you wish, you can set up a hot key for quick access to BarChar. Requires the VB6 runtime file.

WinRider is a nice program, which scrolls your colored slogan or text on your desktop window. You can specify the speed of the text, it's vertical position on desktop, change direction of scrolling , and select the font of the text, where you can specify typeface, italic, bold, size of the text & its color. WinRider has option to select text file as source and to scroll each string from the file. You can also hide icons on desktop.

FontRenamer is free and renames truetype font files (*.ttf) to the real name of the typefaces. Meaningful file names are best for easy management.
