CPU Limit 1.1 Beta Description
A small command line tool that will limit CPU usage by any other program
The CPU Limit application was designed to be a small command line tool that will limit CPU usage by any other program. This can be usefull for example for those users, who use distributed clients and have problems with CPU overheating.
Usual application mode:
Start it - by start cpulimit.exe after configuring cpulimit.ini
Stop it - by start cpulimit.exe with key /q
Program must be restarted after changing cpulimit.ini to apply new settings
System service mode:
Install - extract cpulimit.exe and execute cpulimit.exe /install
Start - net start CPULimit
Stop - net stop CPULimit
Uninstall - cpulimit.exe /uninstall
Service must be restarted manually after changing cpulimit.ini to apply new settings
Here are some key features of "CPU Limit":
· Edit cpulimit.ini file for configure program
· Can work as usual application or as system service
· As application can control only those processes, that run under current user account
