Kabuki Warriors Screensaver 1.0 Description
Kabuki warriors are the subject of many beautiful Japanese woodblock prints. Many Kabuki plays have themes of revenge or vengence, and the main actors often portray famous warriors of the past, or demons and heroes from Japanese myth. Kabuki is a centuries-old form of Japanese theater. This screensaver presents 56 images of Kabuki warriors drawn by Japanese master artists of the mid to late 1800s.

Samurai were the warrior class of Japan. The samurai protected their Daimyo from attacks by other fuedal warlords. The sword was the weapon of choice for a samurai. They were trained in the martial art of ken-jutsu, "The Warrior Art of the Sword" and were guided by Bushido, "Way of the Warrior". This screensaver displays 55 images of samurai with their glorious costumes and weaponry, drawn by Japanese artists from the mid to late 1800's.

Japanese Ukiyo-e, pictures of the floating world, originated in the Edo period of Japanese history. It was during this time when Japan was controled by shoguns, and was isolated from the rest of the world, that this style of woodblock prints became a popular art style. Geisha are traditional Japanese artist-entertainers. The word geisha literally means "art person" or "artisan". Geisha were very common in the 18th and 19th centuries, and are still in existence today, although their numbers are dwindling. You can wait as long as you like before moving, and logical problem-solving is paramount, but the game still has a sense of action as you lay waste to hordes of nasties.
