Substances: Both the ingredients and the mixture itself are substances. Component: The substances consist of components. Content: The contents are the percentages of the components in each substance. Percentage: 1. The proportions of the components in a substance. 2. The proportions of the ingredients in the mixture. All at once: The ingredients, each constisting of the same components, but in different proportions, are mixed together to produce a mixture with the desired proportions of these components. The Iteration To find the result, i.e.: the percentages of the ingredients to get the desired mixture, it is necessary to use an iteration algorithm. The iteration of the Mix Finder is like others, e.g. the Gauss-Seidel Method to solve a linear system of equations, but more adapted to the requirements of this spezial application. Especially, if there is not an exact result possible, the Mix Finder gives a result that is best approximated to produce the desired mixture. This iteration has a low speed of convergence, but converges always. The low speed does not matter at all, with todays computers it is invisible fast.
